DYNASTY WARRIORS 7: Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition Is a gripping action slasher that takes the best from both the genre's games and Chinese fantasy action movies. The gameplay consists not only of large-scale battles with crowds of enemies, but also epic one-on-one fights.

The action takes place in the era of the Three Kingdoms, in which the player will become one of the Chinese knights, called upon to bring victory to their own kingdom. The game does not allow the gamer to independently decide which of the characters to go through the storyline. The choice of the kingdom at the initial stage determines several heroes, each of whom has to complete from one to several missions.

In addition to the classic gameplay of Dynasty Warrior, special cards have become, the use of which allows the player to inflict more powerful unique attacks and the new "Conquest" mode, which offers to conduct a tactical campaign against the enemy for those who are tired of an ordinary meat grinder. Online multiplayer is implemented in this mode.

The most significant changes have been made to the graphics of the game. Enemy soldiers now boast a high level of detail, locations have become much larger, but have not lost their thoughtfulness, and the abundance of interactive (i.e. destructible) items will delight the heart of not only a seasoned gamer, but also a beginner.
