Earth 2160 tells about a difficult period when earthlings who colonized Mars are again in conflict with each other. RTS became the third in a series of games, which includes parts of Earth 2140 and Earth 2150. Despite the unexpected salvation of three factions - the Lunar Corporation, the Eurasian Dynasty, the United Civilized States, people still continue their confrontation, during which they disturb aliens. Aliens intervene in the conflict.Earth 2060 - factions:

• United Civilized States - UCS, represented by America after the Third World War. Here, machines rule, and people enjoy life. During a flight to Mars, the Phoenix ship with their colonists disappears. Many believe that it fell into a black hole, but it turns out that the spaceship, controlled by AI, was in stasis, waiting for the opponents not to kill themselves.
• Eurasian Dynasty - or ED, which prevails in numbers. Created by a Russian officer together with the Mongolian Khans after the Third World War. Has excellent technology, military equipment, large ground forces. Disadvantage - a long construction process and a long skill tree.
• Lunar Corporation - abbreviated LC, a small human union mainly consisting of women, which previously lived on the Moon. It has high-tech innovations, for example, anti-gravity, factories in orbit. The energy crisis on Earth caused the supply of supplies to the lunar colony to stop, so mostly men began to get sick and die. The remaining ones received inhuman abilities, for example, endurance, resistance to poisons.
• Morphids - were under the surface of Eden for a long time, but the LC awakened them during the research. Create defensive structures and units from organics. Advantage - air fleet, reproduce by cloning, units work on water, metal and silicon, and are not subject to editing. Disadvantage - no possibility of research.

The global war led to the planet literally being torn apart, but some people were saved. The survivors continue to fight on Mars for territory, where one day an alien race intervenes, threatening all parties to the conflict, and a group of Edenites, insisting that there is a clone of the blue planet in space - Eden. The gameplay is also designed to collect resources, study technologies, create equipment, troops. There are 3 types of weapons for battles - standard, energy, chemical. It is worth considering the type of weapons and methods of battle that the enemy uses in order to give a good fight. Air battles take place using modern technologies. Here, combat operations take place taking into account the time of day, for example, at night it is better to make ambushes and raids on enemy bases, or turn off the enemy's lights to arrange a sudden mess.
