Empire Earth covers a period of 500 thousand years of human history and gives the opportunity to build your own dominant civilization on the entire globe by using special buildings, unique units for each civilization, each of which has its own task. The game is divided into 14 eras in its structure, each of which occupies a significant period of time, which is based on a particular period of human civilization, and the game also has 4 story campaigns - Hellas, England, Russia and Germany. The game also has special combat units - heroes. In each civilization, they appear at a certain time interval: they have special skills and abilities that will help to gain an additional advantage over the enemy civilization. There are also a large number of innovative ideas for real-time strategies at the time of release, namely: soldier morale, special buildings and wonders of the world, special types of units - strategists, warriors and heroes, each of which gives additional bonuses to your civilization.Epochs in the Empire Earth game:

• Prehistoric era - the period of the beginning of the human race as such, about 2 million years BC. Only basic units are present.
• Stone Age - humanity during the invention of writing and the first fleet, about 25,000-20,000 BC.
• Copper Age - during this period, variations of the first hospitals and the first shooters - archers appear. The heroes of this era are Sargon of Akkad and Gilgamesh.
• Bronze Age - a period from about 2500 BC to the 1st century AD, in particular, Ancient Greece and Rome stand out. Such units as archers on chariots, elephant riders, siege weapons appear. In this era, the heroes are Alexander the Great and Hannibal.
• Dark Ages - crossbowmen appear among the combat units, and the heroes of this century are Charlemagne and Gaius Julius Caesar.
• Middle Ages - this era brings new types of siege weapons and ranged units to the game. The heroes are William the Conqueror and Richard the Lionheart.
• Renaissance - troops with firearms and more appear in the game for the first time. The heroes are Isabella of Castile and Henry V.
• Age of Empires - an even greater number of units with firearms appear, units such as hand gunners and grenadiers are added.
• Industrial Age - various types of more advanced firearms are added to the game, the first types of steam engines appear, as well as hot air balloons.
• World War I – this era sees the largest number of new combat units added, including tanks, aircraft and submarines.
• World War II – weapons from the previous era are modernized and new types of units with improved firearms and improved types of military equipment appear.
• Modernity – the period of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, where new technologies are added and various types of weapons are modernized.
• Information Age – in this era, technologies such as laser weapons are added, as well as cyborg combat units.
• Nanotechnology Age – the last era available in the game. Maximum advanced weapons using the latest generations of cyborgs, technology using laser weapons and nuclear strikes.
