Escape The Pacific will teach the gamer to survive in any conditions, being on a tropical island or on a raft in the middle of the ocean. The player will have to master the realistic mechanics of constructing floating craft from scrap materials, managing raised sails, making a fire, and also learn how to use a sextant. The main goal is to stay alive, despite any obstacles and, using various clues, find the way back home. It will be difficult in all respects, but, as they say: the eyes are afraid, but the hands are doing. The authors of the project took care of the presence of maps that have the function of procedural generation. Also, the user of Escape The Pacific will be able to use the provided clusters, which are located at huge distances from each other and, thus, spend several days on the ocean expanses moving between uninhabited patches of land. The user must be provided with a sufficient supply of water and food, knowledge of cartography and navigation, a compass, have an idea of ​​​​triangulation, and also be able to use weather conditions to their advantage.The main protagonist will get tired and need a good night's sleep. Therefore, it will be necessary to monitor his physical condition so that he does not get sick and effectively completes the assigned tasks. The player will also be able to draw up blueprints for various devices and implement them in 3 steps, if he has enough resources for this. Changing time of day, weather and seasons introduce additional difficulties that can be solved if you develop a clear work schedule and stick to it.
