Exit the Gungeon tells about the arcade adventures of a small squad, which take place immediately after the events of the previous part. The difficulty of the levels has increased, the artificial intelligence has become smarter, even more hordes of opponents want to defeat the main character and his team. The protagonist, together with his comrades, reaches the heart of the Gungeon world.Now they need to break out as quickly as possible. But there is a nuance - the world is collapsing, and strange creatures, aggressively disposed towards the star team, are breaking out through the holes of the Gungeon. There is a training session that prepares for further game events, and introduces the main mechanics of the project. After completing the training, the character receives a new ability. The peculiarity of the levels is cyclically repeating locations. First, the player rides the elevator, fighting monsters along the way, gets into a room with enemies, and everything repeats itself all over again. The main feature is a somersault, which allows you to effectively dodge enemy projectiles and blows. You can't change weapons, the same applies to upgrading barrels - a system has been implemented that generates guns randomly. Every 30 seconds, a new barrel appears in the hero's hands. In Exit the Gungeon, fate plays a key role. Almost nothing depends on the player's skill, events occur randomly. After death, levels are generated, progress along with gadgets is lost
