F.E.A.R. Combat is presented as a shooter with survival horror elements with multiplayer. Here are a couple of dozen modes, 19 maps for multiplayer passage, a full set of weapons from the original. The levels remained the same - the gamer moves through gray rectangular corridors, but a more colorful option is offered for multiplayer. An alarm signal comes from old warehouses. Delta fighters are sent for reconnaissance, but they do not return. It soon turns out that this is the work of Paxton Fettel, who became a victim of a military experiment that made a telepath out of the guy. Fettel is able to subjugate hundreds of armed soldiers by brainwashing them from a distance. Delta has not brought results, so a secret squad First Encounter Assault Recon with a narrow specialization - supernatural situations is sent to replace them on the mission. The special squad also suffers defeat, having become confused and obedient puppets, and only one hero remains, in whose guise the gamer acts. The guy also suffers from seizures received as a result of interference in Paxton's thoughts. Gloomy visions appear before the guy, the crackle of a radio transmitter is heard, which repeats in a sepulchral voice about the imminent death of everyone, and Paxton's ghost seems to be in the corners. In the process, the player goes through dark corridors, offices, ventilation shafts, fighting with opponents, among whom there are large robots, special forces in powerful armor. The ghost of a dead girl appears to the character everywhere, instilling fear, scaring from behind. In addition, the distortion of space is confusing. The baby's death is hidden behind a dark secret that the gamer will have to solve. The main feature here is in the shootouts, where the opponents, controlled by AI, are extremely smart, nimble, and accurate. These are people controlled by the villain, and two-legged robots, cyber ninjas, armored soldiers. Basically, you will have to fight with zombified soldiers who are able to throw cabinets, hide, make tackles, move unnoticed along the stairs, work in a team, covering allies, fight with butts, use grenades to smoke out opponents, shoot from behind cover. Here you can use the slo-mo function - slow motion, which allows you to navigate what is happening and cope with an extremely smart enemy. Especially since the protagonist can only carry 3 guns at a time.
