FaceRig is a program based on face tracking technology, which allows you to take on the appearance of a selected avatar (for example, an anthropomorphic fox, tiger, or dragon) using any device with a webcam. In this case, the picture on the screen will repeat facial expressions, head movements, and lip articulation. It is also possible to upload your own images and backgrounds. Before the start, the user is introduced to the instructions on how to correctly position the camera and what the requirements are for the environment.FaceRig contains a large number of basic skins - raccoon, hamburger, anime girl, demons, princesses, space marine, dark mage and others. The hero can be customized by specifying the color, headwear (from baseball caps to fire helmets), clothing elements, and also adjusting his position in the frame. The hands of some characters can be moved with the mouse. Additional tools are also available, allowing you to, for example, turn off the sound so that the image reacts only to animation, or fix the hero's gaze strictly in the center of the camera, creating the illusion of continuous focus on the interlocutor or viewer. Various backgrounds - a forest path, an evening suburb, an apartment interior, snow-capped mountains, a hellish dungeon. The application provides the ability to take pictures and shoot funny videos, and can also be used when streaming and making video calls.
