Front Mission 2 is a tactical RPG that immerses players in strategic combat and story missions. Set in a dystopian future, the game involves controlling large combat robots called wanzers on a grid-based map. The game focuses on tactical planning, resource management, and unit customization, offering a detailed experience for strategy enthusiasts. Introducing the new Action Point (AP) system, an important feature that determines the course of battle. Each action a wanzer takes, such as moving or attacking, consumes a certain amount of AP. These points are replenished at the start of each turn, with the total amount determined by the pilot's level. This system requires careful planning of actions and efficient management of your resources to succeed in battles. Front Mission 2 also has a Colosseum mode, where you can participate in matches between robots. This mode provides the opportunity to earn rewards and improve your combat skills outside of the main storyline. In addition, there are shops where you can purchase parts, weapons, and other equipment to upgrade your wanzers. The inclusion of a pseudo-internet system adds another layer of depth by providing in-game news and information, which can influence decisions. The story is set in the Republic of Alordes, a country formerly known as Bangladesh, in June 2102. The narrative centers around two main characters: Esha Faruk, a soldier, and Lisa Stanley, an officer in the United Oceanic Union (UOCU) army.
