The player will act as a strategist and tactician, as well as a crisis manager: the survival of the crew of the spaceship with the call sign Kestrel will depend only on his timely actions.According to the plot of FTL: Faster Than Light, the player will become the captain of the Federation star courier. Documents of extreme importance - rebel plans - fell into his hands. They must be delivered to the loyalist base, which is located in another corner of the huge galaxy map. You cannot stay in one place: the rebel fleet is advancing on a broad front and delay threatens a skirmish with enemy cruisers armed to the teeth.After each hyperspace jump, the player encounters a random event. They come in two types - peaceful and combat. In the first case, there will be available stations for refueling and purchasing new weapons. In the second, battles with pirates or other enemies are ahead. During the battle, you must not only damage the enemy's starships, but also carefully monitor the condition of your own ship. After hits, holes appear in the hull, and fires in the compartments. In addition, the equipment fails. Crew members must be sent for repairs, distracting them from performing their main functions.
