Ganryu 2 is a game that will immerse the user in the atmosphere of old console hacknslash projects. The plot is inspired by old samurai stories written a century ago by the writer Eiji Yoshikawa. The main character of the previous part, Musashi, after defeating his enemy Sasaki Kojiro, goes to the island of Hokkaido to engage in meditation, reflection and art, leaving the path of a warrior for a peaceful life. However, it did not last long - during meditative practices, the spirit of his former enemy appears to him. He tells the hero that their battle is not over yet and that they will have to fight again, because Kojiro is thirsty for revenge for the insults inflicted on him. Musashi goes on a journey across Japan to the island of Ganryujima, where he once won.Gameplay Ganryu 2 takes place in 2 dimensions. The player moves around the two-dimensional world, using his samurai abilities and cutting down crowds of enemies in jumps, somersaults, attacks and magical abilities. There are many enemy fighters, and the protagonist only needs a few wounds to roll back - first to the checkpoint, and then, when all the lives are gone, to the very beginning. The game levels are divided into 4 stages by seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. The pixel graphics of the project will recreate the atmosphere of games of the past, created for consoles.
