Gary Grigsbys War in the East shows users the absolutely unimaginable scale of World War II. Here, gamers will have to take part in the Soviet-German campaign, which literally took place from Moscow to Berlin. In each individual battle, you will have to fight for every piece of land, and any gap in the enemy's defense must be used immediately to gain an advantage. And considering that thousands of units can take part in the battle at the same time, you can witness some really tough battles. As in many similar projects, the map in Gary Grigsbys War in the East is divided into hexagons, in which units will be located. Each such fragment can only contain one unit of equipment or infantry (for example, a small detachment). But in a positional attack or defense, such a position will be acceptable, because the correct formation only increases the chances of achieving the desired result. In total, the game has 5 main campaigns, as well as an additional scenario for the summer of 1945. Each scenario involves turn-based battles, where the number of moves varies from 10 to 25. It would seem that this is enough, but considering that some maps stretch for tens of miles, you need to correctly assess the situation and calculate your own movements in order to avoid positional errors. We should not forget about such a concept as fog of war, when the allied forces have a very limited view and cannot notice the enemy in their blind spot. Therefore, it is necessary to change the formation depending on the situation on the battlefield in order to avoid losses.
