Gears of War is a game in the classic third-person shooter style, the events of which are transferred to the planet Sera. The protagonist is Sergeant Marcus Fenix, who was a veteran of a large number of wars. The gameplay is based on fighting opponents, using cover and thinking through combat tactics. The single-player campaign can be completed together with another user in a co-op.The main plot of Gears of War includes completing levels divided into different missions. The emphasis is on using the combat advantages of the terrain, hiding behind cover and shooting enemies. The hero of the game is part of the Delta team, which competes with the Locusts. When playing alone, computer-controlled comrades will come to the rescue. In a joint mode, the role of assistants is occupied by the second gamer. A wide range of weapons and items is available to choose from to eliminate enemy warriors. The canonical weapon of the series is the Lancer assault rifle, with a characteristic and recognizable chain saw. The weapon can be used for both standard ranged attacks and melee damage.The single-player game in co-op is distinguished by mutual support of players. So, if one of the characters receives fatal damage, the partner can save him and return to duty. In the usual solo mode, the character dies and the location has to be completed from the beginning. Users have access to an additional mode in multiplayer, designed for up to eight people. Battles take place in designated arenas in a competitive format, divided into two teams.
