Gerty is a shooter in which the plot events tell about the protection of a remote colony from an alien invasion. The user is given a choice of four characters, each of which has special characteristics, appearance, abilities and combat tactics. Accordingly, it will be possible to choose the one that best suits the player's personal tastes. There is a multiplayer mode in which four participants in the action will be on one map at the same time. With joint efforts, or alone, the protagonist will have to deal with the threat lurking deep underground. The surrounding world is designed in such a way that it is completely destructible. There is only one limitation - the size of the available game area. Everything that is inside it, the fighters are able to destroy.Gertie's gameplay provides the following opportunities:

• Using new items - participants have an inventory in which materials and equipment found on levels or acquired will be collected.
• Purchase and sale - it is possible to exchange received items in special places, thanks to which the protagonist will earn money for more useful items. In-game currency is presented in the form of crystals.
• Pumping up perks - a gradual improvement of heroes, which consists in opening additional abilities and skills. Some of them, for example, slow down or push opponents, while causing damage.
• Difficulty level selection - there are 5 options, which differ in the number of opponents that appear, as well as the damage inflicted and the health reserve.
