Hail to the King: Deathbat is a game set in the underworld. The main character is King Andronicus. The country he ruled used to be peaceful and prosperous. Now the land is inhabited by monsters, with whom the character will have to fight. The story begins in a crypt, in which an old woman awakens Andronicus from eternal sleep. At any level, the hero can return to this location to buy new weapons and other inventory items. Gold coins can be obtained in chests, coffins, or by killing a monster. The main character has 2 characteristics - health and magic. You can fight enemies with a blade and spells, there are no shields or other protection. Hail to the King was created based on the plot of the US metal band Avenged Sevenfold. Each level is dedicated to one of the songs in the album of the same name. They are also the musical accompaniment. During the passage in the crypt, 5 new characters are opened, copied from the members of the group. You can choose any of them to pass the levels further. At the normal difficulty level, the duration of the gameplay is 10-12 hours. It increases by 2 times if you choose the nightmare mode. To return the lands of Hydes from the main antagonist, the dark Andronicus, the player will contact non-player characters and solve puzzles. A mobile version is also available for Android and iOS with simplified gameplay.
