Hammerwatch

Hammerwatch is an action game with role-playing elements and a top-down view. This is not a bagel. The prequel belongs to this genre. But this release contains only the original. Therefore, the levels here are not randomly generated. The project uses pixel art and medieval fantasy setting.

The plot is very laconic. The hero is near the castle, but a bridge collapses behind him. The adventurer is forced to walk through the citadel in search of an exit. Hammerwatch can be attributed to the spiritual heirs of the iconic Gauntlet. The title is focused on cooperative playthrough. This can be done online or while sitting together on one PC. Multiplayer supports up to 4 people. The single is also available here. Controlled via keyboard or gamepad.

There are 6 classes to choose from: thief, mage, paladin, etc. The fighter, alone or with other adventurers, destroys crowds of skeletons, larvae, giant eyes and other monsters. When you kill enough enemies, the combo meter fills up. It allows you to heal more effectively or fight better, depending on the character's specialization. The heroes have 2 types of attacks: normal and damaging multiple targets at once. It is necessary to destroy not only monsters, but also objects that endlessly create them, as well as bosses. In the game you need to collect keys to open passages and gold. It is spent from merchants to buy potions and power-ups. Additional treasures can be found in secret caches that are unlocked by hidden switches or located behind breaking walls, and can also be rewarded for solving puzzles.
