Hanako is an authentic Japanese horror, created according to all the laws of the genre, which work well together when executed correctly. Here, the emphasis is rather on psychological pressure and the constant presence of the player in tension and discomfort. The more restless the user is, the more vivid the fright will be. And you can very quickly get into the atmosphere thanks to the excellent execution of locations and audio accompaniment. The main characters are ordinary fifth-graders, in whose city a curfew has been declared. But the schoolchildren still disobeyed and entered the school grounds. They had a classmate whom they fiercely hated the guy for bullying them and decided to teach him a lesson by casting a curse. There had long been tales among them about the existence of a certain demon Hanako, who could fulfill any wish, and they decided to summon him. Everything looked like a naive joke and fun, but suddenly the ritual worked, and something came out of the pentacle. Incorrectly pronounced words made the creature aggressive towards those who summoned it and began to attack them, forcing the company to run away in different directions from fear. In Hanako, the player will need to explore the territory and look for his comrades alive or dead. The more friends are found, the stronger and more evil the monster becomes. In general, the game is relatively short and even at an average pace will take about 2-4 hours. There is a save system here, so you can exit or reboot after death at the right point at any time without losing progress.
