Hard Reset Redux is a first-person shooter following the traditions of the old school, offering to dive into the dark world of the distant future. There, robots practically exterminated people. The survivors were pushed back to Belphegor - the last city of humanity. Within its walls is the Sanctuary, where countless digitized personalities are preserved, key to the survival of the race. It is him in the role of Major Fletcher that the game will offer to protect. The plot is mainly presented through radio communications and comic sketches between levels. However, not much time is allocated to him, because the basis of the gameplay is the destruction of crowds of mechanical creatures. Sometimes, the hero will be helped to cope with them by the environment. The local streets are full of explosive materials, shock fields and other traps that injure both Fletcher and his opponents. However, the main way of crushing cans will be the major's personal arsenal. It is small: only three guns, but each has several upgrades and functions.The main character wields:

• A high-tech katana. You can't teach her to shoot explosives, but even without that, she copes well with cyborgs in close combat.
• CLN modular rifle. Over time, it will become a shotgun, a rocket launcher and grenade launcher.
• EEF-21 plasma rifle. She will also be able to put opponents into stasis and shoot like a railgun.

Hard Reset also has a small pinch of modern trends in the form of simple character upgrades. You can increase the number of lives, armor, and other characteristics of the controlled mercenary.
