HARTS ISLAND

HARTS ISLAND is an unusual simulator of walking around an island that has become a grave for a million people. Here you will not expect danger, no one will give out tasks and, especially, rewards for achievements. Everything is much simpler: you will have to learn many stories of nameless buried. The atmosphere in the game is appropriate - peaceful and quiet, and the visualization is at a high level.HARTS ISLAND has gathered many generations of Americans. In 1864, for example, there was a training ground for colored troops, which became a prisoner of war camp during the Civil War of the Union. Also during this period, the territory housed: a psychiatric hospital, a tuberculosis sanatorium and a potter's field. During the Cold War, missiles were located here. Until 1967, the island was still used as a prison and a shelter for the homeless, and after 1977 it was abandoned. On a piece of land 1.6 km long and 0.53 km and an area of ​​53 hectares, many people of different ages and affiliations are buried. Here lie the bones of soldiers and prisoners of war, as well as all those who were not in demand by the family: the poor, the homeless and mass victims of epidemics. Gloomy events of past years have firmly taken root here and turned into a negative reputation that the cemetery enjoys to this day. The player is offered a journey across the island, which has absorbed the remains of a million people, where everyone had their own story, not described in memoirs.
