Has-Been Heroes invites you to take part in nicely drawn two-dimensional fights imposed on the player by artificial intelligence on the way from point A to point B. Given: two twin princesses in need of a security escort, and a varying trio of hero defenders. The task, of course, is to ensure that the crowned heads get home unharmed, having walked through a certain number of procedurally generated locations. The gameplay of Has-Been Heroes combines elements of strategy, RPG, action and roguelike. The strategic component involves combining moves and combining combat spells that clear the way. The RPG provides a dozen game classes to choose from, treasures and experience. The action is responsible for the dynamics of the process. And, of course, the fantasy special forces group is not immortal: you only have to die once to get into the wheel of Samsara, which starts the adventure from the very beginning. The protagonists will be hindered by the local undead, who have an unpleasant habit of jumping out to meet them in a brave gang. From skirmishes with enemies, the characters get a fat profit in the form of pumping points and loot. There are enough artifacts and applied magic in this kingdom teeming with monsters to arm an entire army: more than two hundred useful items and three hundred spells that the main character can master.
