HeXen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel is an addition to the original game. Added new levels and bosses that have become even more hardcore, which is why you will need to use all your skills in strategy, tactics and battle management to successfully complete. And some battles will even have to be repeated several times to study the behavior of enemies and defeat the evil spirits that crawl out of all the cracks. After the main character got the Chaos Sphere, he was sent to the other world of the dead. Evil forces want to get even with the protagonist, but the hero is not as simple as he seems. Will the protagonist be able to fight back against real evil? As you progress, you can collect valuable loot. At first, a simple axe is given as a weapon, but later you can get a crossbow and other deadly things in your deadly arsenal. But you can't forget about other things - the main character can collect health potions, and also good minotaurs, who, if necessary, will help defeat the boss. A panel is used to control the character and monitor his condition. It shows the levels of health and protection, as well as the amount of ammunition for types of weapons. Each monster has its own unique behavior pattern. For example, harpies are exclusively long-range opponents who will not come close to the main character. Attacks on the protagonist will begin in several stages. First, 3 waves of simple opponents, then a boss who is not only stronger than his predecessors, but also many times more cunning. Therefore, in order to pass even the most difficult levels, ammunition, potions and other loot must be saved up so that there is enough for fierce battles with opponents.
