htoL # NiQ: The Firefly Diary - an unusual story about a little girl Mion with horns, who follows a green light named Lumen and a purple speck - Umbra. The gameplay is built on the interaction between them. Where Lumen is present, the girl moves there. Where Umbra hides in the shadow - there is a switch.
Together with them, the heroine will go through 4 levels, including one mini-game and several tricky puzzles. Along the way, the girl will fight with bosses. With the help of her companions, the protagonist directly interacts with the environment. The green light acts as a guide, while the purple ally can interact with active objects, breaking boxes or obstacles.
It is worth considering the unusual mechanics of allies, in particular Lumen, who moves by inertia. It does not follow the cursor immediately, so this nuance must be taken into account, especially in moments of difficult puzzles or labyrinths. Umbra responds to the command after a second or two, which also contributes to the fact that you need to calculate the move exactly according to timing.
In htoL # NiQ: The Firefly Diary, the heroine will search for her lost memories. To get the true ending, she will need to find them all. The game will try to give answers to many questions: about Mion herself, about her horns and even the girl's companions. But the developers left a number of questions for the player's reasoning..
