Hype: The Time Quest takes you on an epic journey through the kingdom of King Tuskan IV. The story unfolds after a civil war, when the champion of the kingdom of Hype is awarded the Sword of Peace. During the celebration, a mysterious black knight riding a dragon interrupts the ceremony. A knight named Barnak demands the throne, which forces him to resist. However, a terrible magic turns him into a stone statue and throws him two centuries into the past, where he materializes in the courtyard of a magician's apprentice.Gogud, despite being a novice magician, manages to revive Hype after numerous failed attempts. the protagonist regains consciousness and recounts his plight with Barnack, emphasizing the need to return to his era. His goals include protecting the king, taking revenge, and marrying his fiancee Vibe. Admitting his limited magical abilities, he nonetheless agrees to help him in his time travel. The duo discover that the protagonist must collect jewels to facilitate his return to the future, with each jewel allowing for a single time jump. The journey involves traveling through the reigns of Tuskan I, II, and III to collect and charge the necessary jewels. As Hype and Gogud navigate different timelines, challenges and obstacles arise that test their resolve and skills. The duo faces the difficulty of their quest, realizing that each jump in time brings them closer to the final confrontation with Barnack. As each era presents its own unique set of challenges, Hype must strategically collect and use gems to progress and achieve his goals.
