INFERNIUM is an open-world walking simulator. We play as a girl. There is no full-fledged plot twist. We hear the sounds of an accident, after which we find ourselves in a strange but beautiful dimension. The plot unfolds closer to the second half of the project. The story has many endings. After completing the single-player campaign, a new game plus becomes available. The heroine travels across a large map. It is divided into 17 locations. Among them are a beach, waterfalls, catacombs, a glacier, a castle, hills and other places. Initially, most of the zones are closed by barriers. To destroy obstacles, a woman needs to look for skills and pump them up. There are 6 skills in total. Backtracking is facilitated by the presence of shortcuts. In INFERNIUM, the main character cannot fight, sit down, jump or even run. The girl can only walk, teleport a short distance and absorb the spheres she finds. These balls simultaneously serve as lives for her and a source of energy for skills. Picturesque places are inhabited by opponents. There are skeletons, phantoms, fire elementals, robed ghosts and other similar creatures. For the reasons mentioned above, the main character is unable to hide from enemies or fight them. You can only run away from monsters or try to outwit them. The options include the ability to reduce the speed of movement of enemies and completely turn them off. In case of death, the character loses all the collected light and is reborn at the last checkpoint. To restore the supply of spheres, you need to get to the place of death. However, if the heroine dies again along the way, these balls will be lost. The number of lives is limited, and if you spend them all, you will have to start from the very beginning.
