Infinite Undiscovery places a strong emphasis on decision-making, allowing you to make real-time choices that significantly impact the narrative's progression. These decisions can be made easily, even while navigating your inventory in menus. You'll take control of protagonist Kapell from a third-person perspective, while three additional characters are controlled autonomously by AI. Engaging in battles with this four-person team, or sometimes forming multiple teams of 18 characters, is a key aspect of the experience. Kapell has the unique ability to perform link-up actions, giving access to other team members' skills during combat. The campaign was originally designed to cycle through day and night every 10 minutes, offering a variety of opportunities; nighttime, for example, will make stealth maneuvers easier. However, this function was eventually removed. Director Hiroshi Ogawa explained that alternative forms of stealth mechanics remain an integral part of the gameplay. For example, when evading a hunting dog, users could distract its attention by dropping apples from trees. However, caution was necessary, as guards could be alerted by the sound of falling fruit. Infinite Undiscovery takes place in a world shackled by the Dread Knight Leonidas and his Order of Chains.
