Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days throws the gamer into Walton City, where a zombie attack unfolds in 1980. He is faced with the task of leading desperate people through the ruins of the metropolis from one safe place to another. This title offers a side view, concentrating activity on building shelters and changing positions. Searching for supplies, crafting things and skirmishes with opponents form the basis of the survival gameplay. In Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, control over the squad is associated with constant difficulties: it is necessary to monitor the physical condition of the wards, for example, hunger and injuries, as well as the psychological mood, including despair or nightmares. The player builds upgradable bases for temporary protection, but nightly attacks from the undead make it impossible to stay anywhere for long, forcing them to constantly move. Navigating Walton City requires calculated maneuvers, using stealth to avoid detection, or direct, often brutal, confrontation with the walking dead or hostile humans. The player's decisions greatly influence the course of events, posing a choice: which survivors to help, who to leave behind, and how to interact with other groups - you can try to recruit them or engage in a deadly fight for supplies. Crafting mechanics allow you to make the necessary tools, weapons, and upgrades for the camp to support the squad. Characters confront these constant threats amidst the detailed urban ruins of Walton City. Each playthrough offers new situations and dangers in these ruins.
