Inversion - third person shooter combining dynamic action and zero gravity levels. The plot tells about the invasion of Lutadors who attacked humanity. Two police main characters Davis Russell and Leo Delgado find themselves in the center of events after Davis's wife is killed by invaders and his daughter is left abandoned in the city. The heroes themselves are captured by Lutadors, from where they have to get out in order to save the girl.
The gameplay involves a standard shooter with cover, and from the main weapon, the protagonist uses a rifle with a blade on the barrel, which is effective in close combat. But a unique feature of the game is Gravlink - a device that changes gravity on the go.
With the help of this weapon, you can throw enemies into the air or press down heavy opponents by gravity to the ground. In addition, you can move heavy objects that can become either a shelter or a weapon against Lutadors. Gravlink can be improved with three abilities that can be removed from the bodies of defeated bosses.
Among the levels, there are unique locations where, with the help of portals, which turn the gameplay by 90 or 180 degrees, shootings move into a new plane. Drones will appear among the enemies, which are equally effective at dealing with both the player and the Lutards.
The campaign is played on behalf of Davis, but the co-op mode implies a co-op game, where the second player will control Leo's partner.
Inversion is similar in mechanics to Gears of War, as the developers themselves have repeatedly said, so the shooter will appeal to those who don't have enough of a hit from Epics.
