Instead, a new breed known as Beast Hunters is rising to prominence. You step into the shoes of Kahu, an aspiring Beast Hunter whose journey begins at the Temple of Kemuel and who yearns to follow in the footsteps of the legendary cocoon masters of yore.However, Kahu's aspirations are marred by an unexpected turn. During a crucial licensing exam, an encounter with Niko, a young fairy, curses Kahu, setting the clock on his life ticking. There is only a fleeting moment of time before the darkness completely engulfs him. Levant, guardian of the Temple of Kemuel and hero of the original Jade Cocoon, offers a glimmer of hope. Tasked to collect four magical orbs hidden in the elemental forests and wield a dark lute, Levant hands Kahu a lifeline, sending him on an odyssey to save his destiny and, ultimately, the world. Familiar faces from the predecessor pepper the story; Kikinak, who has become a prosperous shopkeeper thanks to Levant's exploits, and even a statue paying homage to Mahb, the Maiden of the Naga, intertwine the new journey with echoes of the past.
