Jet Set Radio Future is an adventure game set in a vibrant futuristic urban environment. You take on the role of a member of the GGs, a gang of roller skaters roaming the streets of Tokyo. Movement mechanics allow you to move along rails and poles, perform tricks, and use boosts to accelerate both on the ground and in the air. Powerslide movement allows you to stop quickly when moving at high speeds. A key aspect of the game involves finding graffiti left by rival gangs and covering them with your own GG designs. Spray cans scattered throughout each stage make this process easier. Unlike its predecessor, there is no time limit to complete these tasks, and the spray mechanic has been optimized to allow multiple targets for larger marks. There are extensive interconnected stages of the open world with various tasks, and they must be completed. These goals range from imitating opponents' tricks to beating other skaters in races. The presence of police adds an extra challenge, requiring you to confront them head-on, attacking them and spraying them to win. Exploration is rewarded with hidden items scattered throughout the world, including graffiti souls, which unlock new graffiti designs, and hidden tapes that lead to additional missions to earn more souls. Multiplayer play supports up to four participants and offers various sessions for competing with friends.
