Kanon Standard Edition tells the story of high school student Yuchi Aizawa. He returns to the city he last visited 7 years ago with his aunt and cousin. What's surprising is that he remembers almost nothing of what happened to him during his previous trip. But when he returns home and literally runs into a girl named Ayu Tsukimiya while walking, his memory begins to miraculously return.Basically, Kanon Standard Edition simply has no gameplay or mechanics associated with it. This is a visual novel, where events unfold on their own without any additional input from users. Characters communicate with each other, solving both small issues and moving on to larger tasks that arise later. The locations in which the heroes are located constantly replace each other. Rooms of the house, city streets, establishments, parks and other places act only as a background, without creating even the slightest hint of interactivity. All phrases and dialogue lines are displayed in a graph located at the bottom of the screen. And the entire passage is accompanied by a calm musical theme, allowing you to catch the pace of the narrative and follow what will happen in the next scene. If desired, you can rewind a boring episode of dialogue and move on without getting hung up on something uninteresting.
