Kung Fu Chaos immerses you in the world of martial arts, the action of which takes place against the backdrop of a fictional film of the same name. Director Shao Ting acts as both narrator and guide through the process, creating an interactive cinematic experience. Throughout the campaign, scenes mirror scenes from the in-production film, offering a variety of settings for combat encounters.The core of the gameplay is the Ninja Challenge mode, a campaign that is a series of unlockable scenes that include Main Feature levels and various mini-games. You must navigate these levels, fighting enemies and surviving within a set time limit. Progress is determined by defeating bosses within a time limit and earning stars on the Star Meter, which increases as you defeat enemies.Additional modes add variety to the experience. Battle Play allows for local multiplayer matches on unlocked levels, while Championship and Mini-Series feature randomized levels for single-player play. Freestyle offers arena-style competition in a confined space, while Rehearsal allows you to hone your skills in training.There is a roster of six starting playable characters, supplemented by three unlockable ones. Each character uses common controls and attacks, but has unique taunts and special moves. Combat mechanics require a combination of controller actions to perform various attacks, from quick strikes to throwing objects and aerial attacks. Defensive tactics, including blocking and countering, are crucial to survival.
