La-Mulana

La-Mulana is a hardcore platformer-metroidvania, with 2D graphics in the style of computers of the 80s. The main character is an adventurer and professor of archeology Lemeza Kosugi. He goes to explore the ruins of La-Mulana. Players will find a large open world divided into locations that can be visited in any order, if necessary, returning to already explored areas. There is no option to manually save progress, only special stones, which requires greater caution during adventures.In La-Mulana, you need to try to solve as many puzzles as possible, and advance as much as possible along the level before teleporting back to the save point. The dungeons are full of enemies (birds of prey, bats, skeletons, elephants jumping on trunks), and deadly traps, such as spikes from the floor, energy beams and doors slamming behind the main character, leave him in a complete dead end. Initially armed only with a whip and ingenuity, the protagonist will gradually buy and find new weapons - an axe, a katana, a revolver, bombs, shurikens and others. Gamers have access to trading tents where they can buy cartridges, memory expansion, decoders of hieroglyphs and ancient maps for installation on the protagonist's laptop. Solving riddles is a necessary element of progress in the game, and the main clues are focused on stone tablets that require deciphering. Among other things, the hero will need to interact with the environment - move objects, use switches in the correct order, destroy illusory walls and much more.
