Left 4 Dead 1 is a cooperative zombie first-person shooter that offers to take on the role of one of four survivors to get through the entire city to a safe place. Over the course of several campaigns, you will need to go through several levels leading to evacuation transport. Stages are connected by shelters. As soon as you lock the door of the save zone behind you, the stage is considered completed. The essence is that a group of Survivors, represented by Zoe, Louis, Francis and Bill, break through hordes of Infected. The opponents are both ordinary zombies, capable of moving quickly and climbing fences, and Special Infected, including Fat Man, Hunter, Smoker, Witch or Tank. If one of the players is attacked by one of the above-mentioned mini-bosses, the hero will be able to escape only with the help of a partner. Artificial intelligence in Left 4 Dead is called the Director, adapting to the team's style of play. All gameplay elements, except for locations, are randomly generated, which significantly increases the replayability of the project. Several difficulty levels are presented: easy, normal, master and expert. The modes are presented by Single Player, Cooperative, Battle and Survival. If you choose a single playthrough, the player is asked to choose one of the heroes, while three heroes are controlled by AI. The campaign consists of 7 levels: No Mercy, Fatal Flight, Death Toll, Death in the Air, Bloody Harvest, Sacrifice and Last Stand. Cooperative allows you to unite up to four people and go through all available levels together. They can be cleared in any order. Battles are presented as a competition between two teams. 4 people take on the role of Survivors, and the other four - Special Infected. Sometimes the zombie team gets a Tank. It is controlled by the player with the most points. Survival is about holding out as long as possible, defending against the endless raid of the undead horde. For successful completion of the task, medals are awarded: 4 minutes - bronze, 7 minutes - silver and 10 minutes - gold.
