Legend takes the events to an alternative fantasy Middle Ages. The plot centers on a kingdom called Selleh. The lands were ruled for a thousand years by the tyrant and despot Beldor Maleficent, who led the domain into decline. After much suffering, the people united and assembled a large-scale Crusade against Beldor. However, none of the participants were destined to return home. The next move of mankind was the creation of especially strong and powerful heroes who imprisoned the immortal soul of Maleficent in a special prison. However, after some time, a resident of Selleh named Clovis decides to take over the kingdom and get the power of the previous ruler.The protagonist is one of the mighty heroes who can cope with dark magic, so he sets off to meet adventures and dangers. He skillfully wields cold weapons, and also has impressive strength. With the help of his faithful sword, the knight must destroy the antagonist's minions, while staying alive. Among the opponents there are both ordinary fighters and especially powerful bosses, which require a unique approach. During the passage, the gamer will have to visit different locations that differ in their landscapes. The gameplay is accompanied by a side-scrolling camera view, as befits platformers.
