Loopmancer invites you to go to 2046 and visit the City of the Dragon, where the main events will unfold. The protagonist here is Hyang Zixu, who, as a first-rate detective, investigates the disappearance of a journalist. But at one point he is killed, and right after he dies, he wakes up in the middle of his bedroom. Immediately afterwards, a phone call rings, and a case is requested from the agency - a search for that very journalist. Now, the character has to figure out what is happening and get to the truth, using all the available resources.

In reality, Loopmancer's gameplay has little in common with classic detective games. It's a platformer where gamers need to move between locations at a fairly high pace, carving out enemies one by one. The combat system is designed to use weapons in different combinations. Katanas, short knives, spears, axes, and other blades can be combined with firearms. So, after throwing a few chopping blows, you can switch to another slot and plunge a round of lead into your opponent's body. Moreover, the system encourages a constant change of approach, introducing more powerful enemies. So, ordinary mercenaries in the future are replaced by trained fighters or combat robots. Hotel rooms, Biotech corporation buildings, train stations, suburbs and other locations offer completely different environments for combat. For example, you can push your enemy under a train or lure him into the tracks, then duck at the very last moment. Not without plot twists, where players are able to influence the plot themselves. Taking certain decisions in key situations, you can change the vector of the narrative and reach a completely different ending.
