Mafia: Definitive Edition again takes the player to the city of Lost Heaven, Illinois, where his ward is trying to become a real mafioso. The remake of the Mafia: City of Lost Heavens part continues the plot of the original, where the hero acts in the 1930s of the last century - in the era of prohibition and the heyday of gangsters. The shooter was created on the engine of the 3rd part of the original game, due to which the graphics were improved, the storyline was expanded, and the gameplay was improved. The events of Mafia: Definitive Edition take place in the town of Lost Heaven. Tommy Angelo is a simple taxi driver who accidentally got involved in the world of the mafia. The guy soon becomes a member of a powerful mafia group that competes with an equally serious mafia. The city setting has been completely redone, focusing on realism, and the story itself has been expanded. More dialogues have been added here, with the help of which the characters' personalities are revealed. The game inherited the missions from the original, as well as the main features of the gameplay. The user controls Tommy, who in the process moves around the city by car and on foot, killing enemies. A novelty for the series was the appearance of motorcycles, which can also be ridden. At the start, the protagonist uses his fists in hand-to-hand combat. Gradually, the hero gains control of a bat, knife, brass knuckles, steel rods, crowbar, necessary for close combat, uses grenades and Molotov cocktails, and soon firearms - revolvers, pistols, sawed-off shotguns, pump-action shotguns, submachine guns, rifles with optics. The adventure has a Walk mode with an emphasis on aimless exploration of city streets.
