Major Mayhem transfers users to the image of a military man who has seen a lot of strange things during his service. He went through hell, but now real madness has begun in the world. In addition to the threat from hostile organizations, he needs to save his girlfriend from the clutches of terrorists. Therefore, after meeting with the president, the hero goes on a mission to put an end to a threat of this scale once and for all. Although Major Mayhem is positioned as a platformer, the use of shelters here creates the effect of volumetric locations. In total, the game features 45 levels, so the number of unique situations is really large. Thus, enemies can appear from several sides at once, which is why you will have to regularly hide behind rocks, walls of buildings and other objects. The gameplay itself is more like a shooting gallery, because opponents appear in the field of view in small groups, which makes them quite easy to take aim at. These can be ninjas throwing shurikens, suicide bombers with sabers, special agents in suits with pistols and machine guns, as well as several other types of fighters. The more opponents you manage to kill in one go, the higher the combo counter becomes, and the easier it is to achieve a high result at each subsequent stage. Success depends not only on the overall standings, but also on whether key tasks were completed (eliminating enemies, rescuing hostages, neutralizing equipment, etc.). Depending on this, the system rewards the gamer with stars and increases the rank. This in turn opens access to new outfits and, most importantly, new types of weapons. There are more than 20 guns available, so over time, shootouts will turn into real fun.
