Master of Orion 3 is a simulator of managing an entire space empire. You have to control processes, starting from the most basic (creating spaceship designs and managing individual fleets) to the most complex (founding and maintaining the standard of living in the colonies and regulating foreign policy). There are 16 races to choose from, each of which strives to gain complete control over the galaxy. The game space, that is, the galaxy, is generated anew in each new game. The game has various ways to achieve victory. The player can behave peacefully, concluding treaties with other races and trying to avoid wars. Or you can be hostile, sabotaging, interfering with other dominions, stealing information from them using espionage. Tactics depend only on the player. In addition to foreign policy, in Master of Orion 3 you should also deal with domestic policy. You can create new settlements and improve existing ones. However, colonies can also differ from each other, not only in the level of development, but also in the conditions of the planet on which they are located. If the climate on the planet is unsuitable for the population to live there, then the residents will be unhappy - this, in turn, determines the amount of profit received from this settlement. When the conditions become unbearable, the colony will soon be deserted. At first glance, the gameplay seems difficult, due to the fact that there are too many processes to control. However, as you develop, it will be possible to hire advisers who will help manage the expanding empire. In addition, to simplify the gameplay, the game has a training and hint system.
