MediEvil 2 is an action adventure that immerses you in the skin of Sir Daniel Fortesque. The action takes place against the backdrop of Victorian London. The plot tells about Dan's desire to thwart the vile Palthorn and his army of the undead. Armed with a variety of weapons - from swords and shields to more modern firearms, such as pistols and rifles, players move through different levels. A noticeable addition is the introduction of a system switching system in real time, which allows to smoothly switch between two types of weapons. As in his predecessor, you will need to look for a cup of shower at each level to unlock the additional weapons received for the victory over enemies. In addition to the battle, you can interact with merchants known as Spiva, in search of ammunition and services, as well as apply for advice to the ghost of Winston for clues and maintaining progress at longer levels. In Medieve 2, the study is rewarded with hidden bottles of life scattered at certain levels. These bottles expand Dan's life counter, which can be replenished with the help of vials of life and fountains of life found in the game world. A unique turn consists in Dan's ability to tear his head and control a zombie hand, aptly called Dan Hand. This mechanic allows you to explore areas inaccessible to your normal body, increasing the depth of the process. Defeat Palthorn and his undead army to save Victorian London and collect the Chalice of Souls on each level to unlock new weapons.
