In Mega Man X5, the story takes place on Earth in the distant future. An artificial satellite was created in orbit around the planet to save part of the population from wars, epidemics and lack of resources. Sigma's henchman and the enemy of all Mavericks, Dynamo, attacks the colony. A virus is spreading on the satellite, the population is plunging into chaos. It turns out that in less than a day, this celestial body will fall to Earth. The user controls the Reploids, who are looking for a way to save the inhabitants of the colony after their death. They set off on a dangerous journey around the planet to assemble the Enigma cannon from 4 parts. Only its energy shells can leave the satellite on its axis. There are 3 possible endings to the plot. In Mega Man X5, the main characters are the Reploids X and Zero. They have the intelligence and appearance of ordinary people. Androids have 16 upgrades available. You can have no more than 8 at a time. They cannot be obtained on the easy difficulty level. As a reward, X and Zero modifiers are received if they kill a boss of level 10 or higher. Armor helps the protagonists survive. It comes in different types. Power armor is given to X for free at the beginning. It increases weapon damage. Falcon armor is needed for short-term flight and partial damage absorption. With Gaz armor, the protagonist can hang on a smooth vertical wall and walk on spikes without damage. Armor is obtained by opening a capsule.
