Humanity has the opportunity to regularly fly to the Moon because, as a result of a long war, the planet has almost run out of resources. The user will control a reploid. During another expedition, the elevator between Earth and its natural satellite broke down. What characters can you choose:

• X - more than others specializes in battles, can collect capsules with armor;
• Zero - deals heavy damage to opponents in close combat, can double jump and fight without wasting energy;
• Axel - the most advanced robot with new functions, can adopt the characteristics of other reploids, shoes allow you to fly into the air for 2-3 seconds.

In Mega Man X8, you need to choose the main character and a companion for him. If the hero received damage, you can continue to complete the mission with an additional one. During this time, the wounded will restore health. Reploids have assistants - navigators. They help pass levels, find ways to destroy the enemy.
