Men of War: Red Tide is a sequel to the first part of the RTS of the same name. The hero is a Soviet marine, a soldier of the Black Sea Fleet during World War II. The armed forces of Romania and Italy are also present here. The game features historical battles, for example, paratrooper operations in Feodosia, the defense of Malaya Zemlya, Sevastopol, Odessa, the occupation of Romanian ports, the exploits of Konstantin Olshansky and his platoon. Here are 6 Campaigns with a couple of battles in each, as well as an introductory chapter describing the military situation in the country.Odessa is waiting for reinforcements from the naval forces, because the enemy is attacking at full speed. Campaigns in the old-school strategy are of different types, and start with landing on the shore. Then the player performs small tasks, for example, destroying enemy artillery. The user leads a squad of fighters, the average number of which is 15. The user and his small squad confront hundreds of German invaders - tankers, machine gunners, anti-aircraft gunners, fighters in shelters, for example, sitting in trenches and buildings. Here you can control all the characters from the platoon, or choose a soldier under your ward, who is controlled directly. In the process of completing tasks, reinforcements periodically arrive in the form of ships with different combat readiness and equipment. The user can use any objects or weapons that he finds on the map - a machine gun, a tank. Despite the simplicity of the tasks in Black Pea Coats, they are difficult to complete, for example, to assign a target, and an ally shot a cruiser with artillery shells, you have to quietly and cunningly bypass the enemy with machine guns, ready to shoot at everything that moves. Any shelters will come in handy here - sandbags, broken tanks, ruins of concrete walls, but the environment is destructible, so you can't hide behind one object for a long time. The strategic part itself is well developed and the gamer can move in any direction, hide, fire from any found weapons.
