The main character of the game, special agent Solid Snake, is asked for help by the government. He must save the hostages and destroy the militants, preventing a nuclear catastrophe. He is familiar with their methods, because he used to be one of them.Metal Gear Solid is a stealth action game with detailed characters, a multifaceted story, and cinematic cutscenes. The task facing the player is to overcome locations while remaining completely unnoticed. Patrolling sentries and an omnipresent surveillance system will interfere with this. The enemy AI allows you not only to notice the protagonist, but also to react to sounds, and even track him down by the traces left behind. Therefore, the protagonist must be careful - carefully examine the territory from around the corner, go around dangerous areas through ventilation shafts, distract enemies, or sneak up from behind and quietly eliminate sentries one by one. If the main character is detected, endless waves of reinforcements arrive, and the only way to escape is to hide and wait out the danger. At the same time, a forceful version of the passage is also possible, and gamers have access to different types of weapons - pistols, a rifle with an optical sight, a rocket launcher and explosives. Despite the rich arsenal, the game can be completed almost without killing. Periodically, there are fights with bosses, requiring the study of his behavior, and allowing you to win in different ways.
