Field of view, shadows and highlights, animation, and every aspect of what might be considered natural effects are improved in ways that aren't immediately obvious. The beautifully directed intermissions on the Aurora and the characters that meet to move the game forward are beautiful and complement the gameplay. The rich backstory that begs to be told is reduced to random tape recordings or notes, which can be a minus for those who like to follow the plot closely.
