Midnight Club 3 introduces fast-paced, open-world racing. Players compete in a variety of races, each offering different challenges. Victories unlock new cars, and the title stands out as the first in the series to offer comprehensive car modification options, including both visual modifications and performance upgrades. Car customization plays a key role. As users win races, they gain access to a variety of customization options. These options include not only performance upgrades, but also visual upgrades such as vinyl, paint, and physical modifications such as changing wheels, bumpers, spoilers, neon, hoods, and engine components. Cars are divided into four classes - D, C, B, and A - based on their performance, adding a strategic layer. The variety of race types makes the game exciting. In structured races, players must navigate the city along pre-determined routes marked with distinctive flares, trying to cross the finish line as quickly as possible. In circuit races, players are asked to complete a lap around a city track. Random races allow players to freely pass through scattered checkpoints before reaching the finish line. Autocross races take place on a fenced-off street track, free of cars and police, where players aim to beat a pre-determined time.
