Might Magic Heroes 7 continues the Heroes franchise, demonstrating the split and change of the ruling dynasty. The time period covers the events of the fifth and sixth parts of the game series, and the main character is Ivan Griffin - one of the contenders for the throne of the murdered Empress Meave. The Duke hesitates in making a fateful decision: the seven-year war has weakened and tired him, but the descendant of the Griffin family does not want to let go of the levers of state governance so easily. To decide on the next course, Ivan convenes representatives of six factions to the Shadow Council to listen to instructive stories about the heroes of different nations and draw their own conclusions. The single-player campaign is divided into seven episodes. Each episode of Might and Magic is dedicated to one of the factions: the Alliance of Light, the Academy of Magic, the Northern Clans, the Rebellious Tribes, the League of Shadows, the Forest Union and the Necropolis. In other words, you will have to play for people, orcs, elves and the undead. The sequence of passage is determined by the player in any order. In the final campaign, the protagonist is the Griffin himself, determining the fate of his possessions. In addition to the story mode, there is also a Skirmish and Quick Fight mode. The gameplay of Heroes 7 consists of elements of the mechanics of previous games with some innovations. Side quests now reward not only combat experience points, but also additional resources and valuable artifacts. You can complete the story using the strategy or role-playing game scheme. In the first case, the emphasis is on management and military tactics, in the second - on the hero himself.
