Mobile Suit Gundam Journey to Jaburo takes place amidst the turbulent One Year War, following the odyssey of the White Base crew from Side 7 to the Federation stronghold of Jaburo. The saga begins amidst the chaos of Zaku's assault on Side 7, which sees Amuro Ray enter the fray aboard the Gundam and later become its pilot on White Base. Pursued by the fearsome Char Aznable, nicknamed the Red Comet, White Base embarks on a difficult journey.The game features an additional Tactical Battle mode, available after completing the campaign. Users assume the role of nameless pilots, increasing their rank and unlocking missions by successfully completing objectives using available mobile suits. As ranks increase, additional missions and mobile suits become available. A total of five missions can be unlocked, and three of them include standard attack or defense scenarios for both the Federation and Zeon factions. The climactic two missions, exclusive to the Federation, focus on duels involving the RX-79BD-1 GM Blue Destiny Unit 1 and the RX-78NT-1 Gundam Alex, piloted by Christina Makinze and Yuu Kajima, respectively. Christina makes encouraging remarks during the fight, while Yuu remains silent, spurred on by Maureen Kitamura's motivational words during his duel.
