Action roguelite Munch immerses players in a dark fantasy world where they become Chaozborne, a monstrous creature empowered by the essence of heavy metal. Inspired by titles such as Maneater, Brutal Legend, and Hades, the game combines real-time combat with heavy metal atmosphere and theme. The player must navigate dynamic environments, engage in battles with enemies known as the Disciples of the Ordo, and set out to free the Metal Gods. The player can evolve into twelve different forms representing metal subgenres, including Gutpuncher, The Anvil, Bathory, Morbideath, and Painkiller. This evolution process relies on consuming various elements, which unlocks the ability to absorb powers and mutate, gaining new limbs with powerful upgrades. Each playthrough presents a unique experience with a variety of encounters and available mutations, which allows you to build your own path and adjust the development of your monster to your individual style of playthrough.As you progress through the campaign, you can collect Chaos Echoes, which are designed to constantly strengthen the monster, creating the effect of growth and development. The project focuses on supernatural action, an abundance of blood and gore, and is oriented towards a single-player format. The thematic focus on heavy metal is reinforced by a special soundtrack from guitarist Bryant Clifford Meyer, exploring the versatility of the various subgenres of this musical direction. Munch offers real-time battles in which you can use the unique abilities of the selected monster, defeating enemies and overcoming obstacles. The evolution system allows you to make strategic decisions: which elements to use to open specific mutations and abilities. A diverse environment filled with enemies and obstacles requires adaptation and effective use of character abilities.
