The action takes place in the fictional world of the writer Tolkien. The middle lands are full of adventures for our player, so the plot unfolds with half of them. Events introduce us to the continuation of the previous part. Talion and Celebrimbor forge a new ring that Sauron does not know about - he cannot influence it. The new ring carries a different responsibility: in Middle-earth: Shadow of War Celebrimbor loses freedom in exchange for a new Ring of Power.
Some time later, Talion gives the Ring to Shelob, again exchanging the freedom of the spirit of Celebrimbor. From Shelob, the heroes receive a prediction that the orc armies are besieging Minas Ithil, located on the border in Mordor. After the capture of the city of Nazgul, by order of the new owner of the city of Minas Morgul - the Witch-king - they try to take the ring to Shelob. She gives it to Talion with the words: "now Middle-earth is in your hands." Responsibility for saving the world with a new ring falls on our shoulders.
In the new part, the developers have significantly diversified the gameplay. After all, now we can play for Talion, Baranor and other characters. Each of them is designed for the player with a specific purpose. Talion, with the help of the new Ring of Omnipotence, will be able to gather an army of orcs, trolls and other creatures to fight Mordor, Sauron and his Nazgul warlords. The initially failed battle near Minas Ithil (Morgul) turns the whole story back after he appears.
The character control system has not changed, but a huge emphasis was placed on the variety of the storyline. Each of your actions leads to certain consequences. All endings can be seen if correctly saved.
