Night Call takes place in Paris. The player needs to solve a crime while working as a taxi driver. Ussin, the main character, is a Muslim who moved to France from Algeria. The taxi driver was attacked, as a result of which he was hospitalized. Even though Hussein is the victim, law enforcement agencies want to pin a series of murders on him. He makes a deal with a detective and promises her to find the real criminal in exchange for freedom. The hero drives passengers around Paris at night and simultaneously talks to them in order to track down the killer.The dialogues in the game are interactive: after each phrase of the passenger, you can choose a line that the taxi driver will respond with. You don't need to drive the car - it drives on its own. Night Call is a visual novel in the style of Hollywood black-and-white films of the 40s-50s. The detective mechanics are simple - if Hussein finds a clue or learns a fact during a conversation, he adds information to the portrait of the alleged killer. There are only 4 suspects - a homeless man, a former cop, a pathologist and a lawyer. There are elements of mysticism. During one of the trips, the main character notices a child's ghost in the back seat. The ending directly depends on the player's actions, there are several possible scenarios. Each line has a consequence. When talking to passengers, Hussein can choose a behavior model - be kind, strict, silent or curious with them.
