Outlive: Robotics Versus Genetics is a project inspired by the first Starcraft. The influence is noticeable not only in the storyline, but also at the gameplay level, as well as visually. The usual RTS mechanics in this case were enriched with the need to maintain a sufficient level of energy supply. Without the necessary power, the building is not able to perform its functions at full capacity. Otherwise, the mechanics remain untouched - the player has access to units that will extract resources, build buildings with various functions, conduct military operations. Outlive offers 2 races to choose from – genetically modified humans and robotics fans. The set of buildings is the same in both cases. The methods of construction differ. The former use specialized units capable of carrying out construction work. Robotic units can transform into the desired object, arriving at the place specified by the player. This is the main advantage of robots – they are more mobile. Such a unit-building can just as easily return to its original state, continuing to move around the map.As the game progresses, access to mobile units of equipment opens – armored tanks, maneuverable scouts and flying ships. The range is small, but some original behavioral ideas are implemented. For example, harass, which allows you to provoke the enemy to chase the unit, leaving the area protected by towers and stationary guns. Also, for vehicles, the system of indicating the path and independently finding the road to the target is well thought out.
